Evangelis Zappas

Inspired by the poem the "Dialogue among the Dead", by Panayotis Soutsos, Evangelis Zappas had visions of the revival of the Olympiads and by the diplomatic course he begun a series of correspondence with king Otto, suggesting the modern "Olympia" offering the covering of the whole expenses for the stately Palace in Athens needed for the Events.
